Discover the Traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival in JIECANG

In order to preserve and celebrate our traditional cultural customs, and foster a delightful and harmonious ambiance during the Dragon Boat Festival, JIECANG has meticulously curated a range of activities to fully immerse our esteemed employees in a comprehensive "holiday ceremony" encounter.

Part 1 Sachets Making

Wearing sachets is a venerable tradition that holds deep significance. Not only do these sachets possess the power to ward off evil spirits, but they also serve as exquisite decorations. Beyond their practical purposes, these sachets hold a special place in our hearts as a unique expression of romance and emotions.

When the activity began, participants unleash their creativity, deftly threading needles and skillfully crafting delicate sachets within a limited timeframe. These meticulously crafted sachets embody the profound love synonymous with the Dragon Boat Festival. They are intended to bring well-being and good fortune to their recipients. Thus, these sachets we made are not just a representation of our cultural heritage, but also contain the sincere wishes of the JIECANG people for happiness and prosperity.

Part 2 Chinese Round Fan Painting

Since ancient times, the act of exchanging fans during the Dragon Boat Festival has held deep meaning. It symbolizes the warding off of evil spirits and the seeking of blessings and good fortune. As a result, we have embraced a new tradition of creating our own DIY Chinese round fans to welcome the summer season.

During this ceremony, all participants focus their attention on painting their own round fans. With each stroke of the brush, vibrant colors come to life on the paper, resulting in unique and creative works of art. These painted fans showcase a variety of styles, ranging from realistic depictions to captivating and enchanting designs. Each fan holds its own special significance and charm.

Part 3 Dragon Boat Competition

The dragon boat race serves multiple purposes as a traditional cultural event of the Dragon Boat Festival. It not only strengthens employees' connection to and pride in the rich traditional Chinese culture, but also provides an opportunity for everyone to experience the dragon boat spirit of bravery, unity, and collaboration.

In line with this, JIECANG organized an on-land Dragon Boat competition encouraging easy participation and cooperation among its employees.

Once the activity commenced, the 10 participating teams were divided into 5 groups and competed in pairs. Following the host's instructions, the two teams boarded inflatable dragon boats and swiftly propelled themselves from the starting point toward the finish line. The scene was filled with shouts of encouragement and cheers, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.

Conclusion

We firmly believe that the launch of this event served two important purposes. Firstly, it provided our employees with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of traditional Chinese festivals and culture.
